Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum dan variabel yang memengaruhi partisipasi perguruan tinggi pada kelompok 20% penduduk termiskin di Indonesia tahun 2023. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan data yang bersumber dari Susenas Maret 2023 dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi logistik biner. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya 32,28% penduduk miskin yang berpartisipasi dalam perguruan tinggi. Variabel yang signifikan berpengaruh terhadap status partisipasi penduduk miskin pada perguruan tinggi di antaranya tingkat pendidikan kepala rumah tangga, jumlah anggota rumah tangga, status bekerja penduduk, jenis kelamin, dan status penerimaan Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP). Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah penduduk miskin yang menerima PIP memiliki kecenderungan paling besar untuk berpartisipasi. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah dan pihak terkait perlu memperluas beasiswa dan informasi beasiswa perguruan tinggi terhadap penduduk miskin.
